Selective Laser Melting Makes Parts Directly from 3D CAD
The additive manufacturing process used in Renishaw’s SLM125 and SLM250 selective laser melting uses a high-powered fiber laser to produce fully dense metal parts direct from 3D CAD.
The additive manufacturing process used in Renishaw’s SLM125 and SLM250 selective laser melting uses a high-powered fiber laser to produce fully dense metal parts direct from 3D CAD. Parts are built from a range of fine metal powders that are fully melted in a tightly controlled atmosphere, in layer thicknesses ranging from 20 to 100 microns.
