OSG’s two Exocarb-Aero routers are designed to mill carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) and other composites. The first router features as many as 12 opposing helix angles for heavy milling work in low- and high-hp machines. The second router features a six-flute, herringbone design and is suited for finishing CFRP. The flutes compress material in opposing directions to produce a quality finish with no delamination, the company says. Another feature, ultra-fine diamond coating, is said to further extend tool life.
