The Kitamura "F" Series is said to deliver high torque for tough cutting and high-speed super fine finishing on a single, rigid, space-saving footprint. Main features include ±000078" full stroke positioning accuracy and ±0.000039" repeatability. The "F" Series uses super-finish, ground-hardened solid box ways on all axes and the company provides a standard 5-year warranty on box ways.
The 4-speed geared spindle allows deep cuts on tough materials with up to 116.1 ft/lbs of torque. The advanced, dual contact spindle design accelerates up to 20,000 rpm for fine finishing. With high-speed acceleration of 0~20,000 rpm in 2.4 seconds and deceleration of 20,000 rpm~0 in 2.2 seconds, this highly flexible and versatile spindle system makes the "F" series perfect for a wide variety of machining and moldmaking applications.
The series features the Kitamura-Fanuc 16iMB control. Standard features include HPCC by RISC control with 64-bit RISC processor, NURBS Interpolation, 16MB Data Server, 1280 meters memory and Ethernet data input/output.
The Kitamura "F" Series has been designed with the operator in mind. Portable manual pulse generators are available on most machines, making set-up easier. All models (both vertical and horizontal) are equipped with the same 90-degree swing operation panel decreasing the time it takes to work with the control. Design elements such as sliding side doors, wider overall door openings, higher fence style splash guards and fully enclosed ceilings are designed to ensure that the operators' work is both easier and safer.
