Resolver To Converter Board Unit Ensures Reference Position
The Vega Model 2790504 resolver to SSI converter board is said to offer the ruggedness of a resolver and the simplicity of an SSI interface. It is suitable for use in nuclear and other harsh environment applications. The unit may be used with virtually any synchro/resolver, the company says.
The Vega Model 2790504 resolver to SSI converter board is said to offer the ruggedness of a resolver and the simplicity of an SSI interface. It is suitable for use in nuclear and other harsh environment applications. The unit may be used with virtually any synchro/resolver, the company says. It converts resolver position into a 24-bit absolute SSI data format with 12 bits of resolution per cycle (4,096 counts) and 12 bits of turn counter (4,096 turns). The unit writes the current position to the onboard flash during power failures, recovers the position upon power-up and provides a “count reset” function for establishing reference position. According to the company, the loss-of-phase detection circuit and fail-safe fault interface ensure that in the event of loss of feedback, the system can be shut down in an orderly fashion.
