Reduce Vibration When Milling With Long Overhangs
Share
Sandvik Coromant’s Coromant Capto Damped Milling adaptor is designed to reduce vibration while milling with long overhangs. The adaptor is part of the CoroMill Modular Cutting Tools program a system of small, screw-type cutters and shanks for die and mold applications. It uses a damping mechanism to reduce vibration while end-milling or profile-milling with overhangs as long as seven times the diameter.
According to the company, the adaptor achieves quality surface finish and high accuracy while prolonging tool life. It is equipped with a coupling in mounting sizes C4, C5 and C6. Threaded couplings are available in M10, M12 and M16 diameters.
