Hennig offers a selection of chip conveyors designed to protect machines, improve efficiency and reduce maintenance, including 1.5"-pitch chip conveyors and heavy-duty 2.5"-pitch chip conveyors, in hinge-, scraper- and magnetic-type variations. Belt widths range from 4" to 68", and standard incline angles range from 45 to 60 degrees. Belt speeds of 1.6, 2.2 or 3.0 m/min. are offered, with variable speed available upon request. Custom conveyors are also available. All conveyors feature a low-profile design, heavy-gauge steel bodies, steel rails, and overload and jam protection.

Hennig’s hinge- and scraper-type conveyors can be equipped with its chip disc filtration (CDF) technology that combines durable stainless steel coolant filtration media with a rugged design, providing an alternative to drum filtration for applications as fine as 25 microns. With the CDF system, the conveyor belt transports chips and acts as the first stage of filtration, while disc filters with permanent media provide the second filtration stage. The CDF system includes main flood coolant pumps; a high-pressure, 300- to 1,000-psi pup with bag filter; backwash CDF pump; disc access panels and backwash manifold; coolant tank; and control box.

According to the company, the disc design makes it possible to incorporate one drive system for all types of chips. The design also provides a direct coolant flow path into the coolant tank reservoir and filters a variety of materials in both water- and oil-based coolants. The self-cleaning system enables faster maintenance and reduced downtime with simplified media access, disc seal replacement and media disposal. In addition to its standard CDF system, the company offers a CDF filtration system specifically designed to remove cast iron chips and sludge from coolant.
