View MoreThe Sandvik Coromant QS high pressure holding system for sliding head machines is designed to reduce setup and tool-change time. The addition of high-pressure coolant toolholders offers a complete process improvement solution that reduces part run time and increwases tool life, the company says.
Small part machining of demanding, long-chipping materials can create chip-breaking issues. Sighted nozzles are designed to accurately deliver coolant from 145 psi to eliminate the need for external coolant lines, as well as improve chipbreaking and performance. The QS-HP holding system can be applied to existing machines and is well suited for small-part machining, the company says.
