View MoreMurata’s Motorum M2048TS CNC servomotor-driven turret punch press incorporates a ram drive for high-speed punching, improved forming operations and reduced noise. According to the company, the ram drive provides a simple, rigid drive mechanism for faster punch speeds, efficiency and productivity in punching, forming, tapping and deburring applications. A controlled punching stroke and urethane transfer balls enable quiet operation. The large table accommodates 8-ft.-long sheets without a reposition and 16-ft.-long sheets with a single reposition.
The punch press offers the option of either Wiedemann or spring-style tooling. Retractable forming tools eliminate forming die interference. The turret capacity can be expanded with 12 station Varitools. The FANUC control is equipped with Murata’s Intelligent Control Interface, said to minimize setup time and assist with tool changes, turret load monitoring scheduling and tool maintenance.
