Featuring switch rods for position control, new hydraulic swing clamps for position monitoring are available from Carr Lane Roemheld. The helix rod protrudes through the cover and allows pneumatic or electrical control of the piston outside the chip area.
With a maximum operating pressure of 7,500 psi, the clamp is available in three styles: top flange, cartridge style and flanged base. In addition, the clamp is equipped with a reinforced swing mechanism. According to the company, this mechanism can endure a collision of the clamping arm with the workpiece during clamping as high as 1,500 psi.
