View MoreLyndex-Nikken’s shrink-fit machine firmly inserts cutting tools into shrink-fit holders in 2 sec. With its patented induction coil, the shrink-fit machine can accommodate cutter bodies made from HSS, heavy metals and carbide. The automatic cutter size detection function reduces setup time by eliminating the need for inputting the size of the cutter shank. The machine is compatible with holders of varying geometries, shrinking 2 to 40 mm with the same inductor.
Designed to be plug-and-go, the shrink-fit machine is equipped with a three-phase, 220-V power connector for shop compatibility. The compact tabletop design and the machine’s shrinking range (14.57" shrinks 0.080" to 1.5") make the unit a versatile, yet powerful tool, the company says.
The company also offers a complete line of shrink-fit holders, including CAT40, CAT50, HSK32E, HSK63A, HSK80F, BT30, 40 and 50. They are available in multiple lengths in both inch and metric sizes. The holders are said to optimize balance and maximize grip characteristics. They are made in Japan with H13 heat-resistant, hot-working tool steel and pre-balanced to 40,000 rpm.
