Technifor says its XF520Cp portable marking machine provides quality marking at speeds ranging to 10 characters per second. Suited for a range of part marking and identification applications, the machine can mark serial numbers, logos and machine-readable DataMatrix codes, among others.

According to the company, creating marking files is fast and easy using the 5.7" integrated backlit display, and intuitive software incorporates icons, menus and graphical previews. Data-entry errors can be eliminated by automatically transferring information from barcode scanners, CSV files and computer networks. The integrated USB port allows for backup of logos and marking files onto a memory stick.

The marking machine’s design allows operators to mark objects of varying weights and sizes in hard-to-reach locations. It can mark virtually any raw, machined or painted material including metals, alloys and plastics, and it can also be used on flat, convex and concave surfaces.

The 5.3-lb machine measures 5.2" × 7.1" × 3.7" in size with a marking area of 2" × ¾". It also features an external keyboard; memory capacity of more than 1,000 marking files; and a character size ranging from 1/100" to 2".
