CS Unitec’s MAB 825 portable magnetic drill features an automatic feed mechanism with power retraction and stroke length of 10", making it suitable for production applications. The 16-A, double-insulated, reversible motor has a four-speed oil-bath gearbox with speeds ranging from 40 to 600 rpm for applications requiring high power. With infinitely variable torque control and full-wave electronics, the drill cuts holes as large as 4" in diameter in structural steel and other metals. Additional capabilities include twist drilling and reaming of holes ranging to 1¼" in diameter, tapping to 11/8" in diameter and countersinking to 2". This unit has a quick-change keyless cutter system for ¾" Weldon shanks. The workholding magnet has a holding force of 6,600 lbs.
Integrated sensors include magnet overheating protection, visual magnet adhesion indication and an electronic safety shutoff sensor to automatically shut down the drill motor if the magnet loses contact with the material. An internal cable routing system helps protect the motor power cord from external damage.
