Pedrazzoli Features Automated Work Cell

Pedrazzoli will showcase a work cell for automatic execution of bending and end forming at Westec 2021 in booth 1617. This system is automated with the help of an articulated loading robot, which reproduces all the work phases of an operator. This integrated system, which is based on standard machines, is the Bend Master 45 + FANUC + Stern 25.
Pedrazzoli’s Bend Master 45 electric axis control includes clockwise and counter-clockwise bending during the same cycle. According to the company, multi stack tooling design is capable of producing fixed or variable radius bends. Linear guide movements feature re-circulating ball spheres, brushless motors and rigid mechanical structure designed to offer high productivity, excellent quality and long work life. Pedrazzoli offers optional auto-robotic handing and loading of the work piece supported by FANUC Robotics.
The Stern Brown 25 electric end forming machine’s design produces multiple forming and machining operations to the work piece in one cycle. Pedrazzoli claims that automatic working optimization of tooling turret movement features up to 15 powered workstations with rotational and linear movement capable of expanding, reducing, end forming, beading, facing, chamfering, closing, threading, tapping, flaring and more.
All of Pedrazzoli CNC systems are equipped with Pedrazzoli’s Intelligent Motion Control (IMS) program, which has a touch screen designed for intuitive operation with three-dimensional graphic programming. The control’s software allows the operator to visualize a part, create, copy and execute the program via touchscreen. IMS is a single solution for operating and managing bending or end forming processes. According to Pedrazzoli, the IMS control can be programmed to work seamlessly with tube benders, end formers and auto loaders.
