Designed for manufacturers struggling with long setups or short runs of parts, the Zero Point Mounting Kit from Carr Lane Roemheld is designed to reduce setup time for CNC Machines. A main feature of the product is the Speedy Module plate, which is mounted on the machine table or tooling block. The plate clamps onto nipples attached to the bottoms of existing fixture plates. By attaching nipples to all fixtures, manufacturers can use this product to change pallets in a matter of seconds and optimize short-run production, the company says. The module plate also can be mounted on inspection machines, allowing the transfer of parts from machining to inspection while maintaining the same datum points.
