View MoreNew Vista Corp. announces the RTU robotic gaging unit, an automated system which aims to replace the manual “go” and “no go” thread gaging process. According to the company, the RTU thread gaging system is suited to a wide range of applications, offers speed and flexibility in an affordable package and is designed to integrate with robots of any make or model.
Mounted on a robot, the RTU verifies a wide range of thread sizes at any angle. The thread gage members employed for each application can be changed automatically, employing New Vista’s tool docking system. Additionally, torque and depth settings are changed automatically during operation to accommodate any thread size or length.
New Vista’s compliant toolholders (supplied with every system) accommodate both X-Y and angular misalignments, and a breakaway feature ensures that tooling and parts are not damaged in the event of an accidental crash.
