The company says its new SRM2, a ballnose end mill, has capabilities that are best suited for roughing to medium finishing of large molds. It is designed for machining 3D milling applications.
The end mill uses precision ground inserts for close tolerance mold applications. The chipbreaker design allows for lower cutting resistance. According to the company, thicker inserts and a heavy core body resist fracture, while a lower resistance equates to high quality finishes.
End mills are available in ¾", 1" and 1¼" diameters and various type lengths. Air coolant throughout is a standard feature.
