View MoreDMG MORI will exhibit its DMC 80 FD DuoBlock multitasking machine offering power skiving capabilities. The machine’s power skiving process is said to enable highly productive machining of ID and OD gears as compared to conventional shaping processes. The multitasking machine is also capable of processes such as flank milling for spiral bevel gear machining, and is suitable for automotive volume production.
An onboard measurement system uses the touch probe installed on the machine and a point cloud generated by the GearMill software. PRO software from Zeiss uses the data gathered by the probe to prepare flank charts for the measured gears. This capability is especially useful for conducting quick check measurements of large gears before removing them from the machine, and is available for measurement of all types of gears.
