Tornos offers a range of multi-spindle turning centers, including the MultiSwiss, MultiAlpha, MultiSigma and SAS lines.
The MultiSwiss 6×14 provides six sliding headstock spindles that use torque motor technology for barrel indexing. This entry-level machine is designed for parts smaller than 14 mm in diameter and 40 mm in length.
The MultiAlpha 8×20 and 8×28 provide eight spindles for increased flexibility and parts ranging from 4 to 28 mm in diameter. Designed as complete machining solutions, these turning centers enable finishing a maximum number of components on a single machine.
The MultiSigma 8×28 also features eight powered spindles with independent spindle speeds, plus double-back working and integrated palletization for highly precise parts. The turning center includes a bar feeder and swarf management system as well as integral palletization. It is said to provide increase precision and flexibility for highly demanding aprts.
The SAS 16.6 automatic cam-controlled turning machine provides six spindles with a programmable automatic controller. Accelerated timescales and a 205-degree working capacity help provide increased productivity and precision.
