CNC machines can now be more efficient by using Zero Point mounting kits, the company says. The kits contain all necessary components to allow users to create their own quick pallet change system.
The Speedy Module plate is mounted onto the machine table or tooling block and is said to be an integral part of the system. The module plates clamp onto nipples that are attached to the bottom of existing fixture plates. According to the company, this enables changing pallets in a matter of seconds, which optimizes short run production. While machining, the operator can assemble the next part outside of the machine.
Module plates can also be mounted to inspection machines, which make it possible to transfer parts from machining to inspection, while maintaining the same datum points.
