Leaders-In background

The Technifor XF530 micro-percussion machine available from Gravotech is designed to meet the identification and traceability requirements of heavy equipment manufacturing. The portable direct-marking system is well-suited for marking before part treatment and before or after painting, and is capable of marking all types of metal components, the company says.

The machine’s 7.87" × 1.96" (200 × 50-mm) marking area enables large character marks penetrating as deep as 0.016" (0.4 mm). The adjustable, V-shaped universal feet stabilize the machine for marking on flat or curved surfaces. A balancer coupled with ergonomic handles and built-in start buttons enables marking in a vertical or horizontal position.

The controller’s graphical interface with integrated software enables fast creation of marking files, the company says. Marking data can be entered via keyboard, USB, bar code reader or Ethernet connection, and the unit can be operated with or without a computer.
