View MoreTransFormAM by DM3D is an additive manufacturing technique which combines existing metalforming technologies and the company’s Direct Metal Deposition (DMD) additive technology. The approach uses technologies such as casting, forging, extrusion and roll forming to fabricate a metal preform, and then adds metal via DMD to transform it into a functional metal part. The technique is said to improve throughput and reduce cost; simplify the fabrication of large parts; provide better quality to the finished part with wrought microstructure of the preform; and reduce manufacturing risk. DM3D offers TransFormAM services as well as systems.
