Machining Simulation Software Provides Updated Features
IMTS 2018: Version 9 of Roboris’s Eureka Virtual Machining includes enhancements to many of the previous version’s functions, plus added modules.
Version 9 of Roboris’s Eureka Virtual Machining software includes enhancements to many of the previous version’s functions in addition to added modules. An updated Program Editor includes customizable syntax styling in multiple colors. An improved Stock/Design Compare tool makes it possible to classify the results based on the excess or residual material volume, to avoid insignificant warnings. The software produces an improved and customizable PDF report for users. Real-time measurement of the interference between the tool cutting edge and the finished part is now possible.
Enhanced floating module management provides the option for modules to float independently of the main license. Eureka Batch is a tool which enables automatic testing and simulation sequences without user intervention. The software’s Private Cloud feature has been enhanced to allow multiple servers on the same network, with automatic scheduling of the simulation jobs based on workloads or custom criteria. The Eureka Additive module includes improvements to additive technologies like laser metal deposition (LMD), wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) and fused deposition modeling (FDM) with three- and five-axis slicers. The cutting condition parameters are acquired in real time during the simulation, but the optimization parameters can be set afterwards, producing immediate results. This allows for multiple optimization parameters to be tested without re-running the simulation.
Laser Scanning, Reviewer, Visual PostProcessor, and Cycloidal Cutting are added optional modules in the software.
