Shop Floor Automations (SFA), a manufacturing integrator serving a variety of industries, showcases its Scytec DataXchange machine monitoring solution. The DataXchange solution leverages Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology to capture and communicate real-time equipment data to a mobile or desktop user interface, according to the company.

The latest Modbus TCP connectivity protocols released by Scytec increase remote monitoring capabilities through DataXchange. This functionality enables engineers, operators and operations personnel to monitor robots, cobots and other automated PLC equipment around the clock, programmatically transmitting messages to key personnel whenever an issue arises.

DataXchange can monitor both new and legacy equipment, regardless of age, and offers a variety of hosting options. The technology is maintained with regular updates, to include the ability to send Microsoft Teams alerts to internal personnel based on critical machine triggers and events. These Teams alerts can even include notes from operators for additional details.

The DataXchange machine monitoring solution has been designed to enable tracking of downtime for maintenance operations, monitoring for production purposes, such as tracking cycle times and machine utilization, and monitoring work offsets to improve the quality process.
