Low-Wattage Power Supplies Optimize Energy Use
IMTS 2018: Phoenix Contact has added compact AC/DC power supplies ranging from 30 to 100 W to the Quint Power series.
Phoenix Contact has added compact AC/DC power supplies ranging from 30 to 100 W to the Quint Power series. With these low-wattage additions, control engineers can select a more precise power supply for their low-power applications while still getting features such as preventive monitoring and power reserve.
All of the low wattage additions feature a power boost of up to 200 percent the nominal current. This enables inductive loads to start without disrupting the output voltage. The power boost provides additional power to an application, which reduces the need to install an oversized power supply. The additions feature configurable alarming and are available with either push-in or screw connection technology. They are also NEC Class 2 classified.
