The TRAK TRL 1630SX lathe and the TRAK DPM SX3P bed mill both feature the ProtoTRAK CNC. The 1630SX may be operated manually or by CNC with the optional TRAKing feature. The bedways are hardened and ground, and sliding surfaces are Turcite coated. The 1630SX is equipped with electronic handwheels and a jogstick, and a spindle speed range from 150 to 2,500 rpm.
The bed mill with the ProtoTRAK SMX control can be operated manually, or as a two- or three-axis CNC. The solid ram moves up and down for Z-axis operation, providing mass behind heavy cuts. TRAK bed mills are equipped with an electronic head that provides programmable spindle speeds and the ability to tap. Precision-ground ballscrews are installed in the table, saddle and ram. The mill wide way surfaces are hardened and ground, and slide ways are Turcite coated.
