Lach Diamond Chipbreaker Prevents Breakdowns
IMTS 2024: Lach Diamond Inc. showcases a chipbreaker for non-ferrous metals and its line of turning tools, created to quicken and optimize hard turning processes.
Lach Diamond Inc. showcases the IC-plus chipbreaker, designed to turn low-level siliceous aluminum alloys, lead-free copper or brass in a process-reliable manner, aiming to prevent machine breakdowns caused by long, excessive chips in the chip chamber.
The IC-plus chipbreaker can optimize the turning of aluminum in mass production and is available as an ISO-conforming cutting insert.
Lach Diamond is also displaying its line of turning tools for hard turning processes. Hard turning with Lach CBN turning tools is said to reduce grinding time during the machining of hardened high-alloy steels, starting at 58 to 62 HRC.
According to the company, the performance capabilities of its Dreborid-B tools show during the machining of steel as well as in time savings and efficiency during the turning of metal powder-coated wear parts.
Lach Diamond offers a two-tipped insert, Dreborid-B-Duo-power, aiming to double the efficiency and performance for hard turning.
