Kuka Robotics Corp.’s KMP 600P mobile platform is well suited for confined production environments. Kuk says it is the most compact platform in its high-performance P series to date.
Due to differential drive technology, the platform can not only move forwards and backwards but can also turn on the spot and take curves with a defined radius, making it suitable for applications where space is limited. It can be used not only for efficient material supply from warehouses, stations, assembly lines or preassembly lines, but also for process linking or reliable point-to-point transports.
The KMP 600P is VDA 5050-compatible and can therefore be simply integrated into various agnostic fleet management systems. Inductive charging enables 24/7 operation and extends battery life. The platform holds an international CE certification that is said to offer maximum safety and simple maintenance. With its modular design, all components are accessible and can be replaced quickly and cost efficiently.
Because of its Kuka.AMR Fleet software, commissioning of the KMP 600P does not require any programming knowledge, the company says. The drag-and-drop feature and the function library enable rapid workflow optimization, which can save time and resources.
