Weingärtner Maschinenbau offers machines for the oil and gas downhole and artificial lift industries. The company’s Vario machine tools are capable of peeling and milling single- or multi-lobe rotors and stator cores for mud motors and progressing cavity (PC) pumps. Deep-hole-drilled blanks can be pre-machined on a Vario series machine. According to the company, the machine tools are capable of peeling the OD with stock allowance following the center bore to generate a constant wall thickness.
The pre-machined blanks can then be loaded into the company’s Multi Production Machining Centers (MPMC), which are offered in six different sizes corresponding to the Vario series sizes. They are capable of performing a range of operations in a single setup, including OD and ID contour turning, API thread turning, drilling, spot facing, tapping, face milling, and more.
