Thinbit MiniGroove ‘N Turn inserts are configured such that the same insert can be used for internal grooving, face grooving, profiling or boring. Equipped with a customized clamping system, the inserts have a built-in stop to prevent slippage and rotation during axial or radial cuts.
The inserts are available in groove widths ranging from 0.004" to 0.125" in 0.001" increments, with either sharp corners or corner radius. Two sub-micron grain carbide grades—DM-2 for steel and interrupted cutting and DM-5 for aluminum and other non-ferrous alloys—are offered. TiN, TiCN, TiAIN and diamond coatings are available, as are specialized configurations to meet various application needs.
Round toolholders are offered in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" in materials such as steel, heavy metal and carbide.
