View MoreThe BC-40E Tru Temp black oxide system from Birchwood Casey is pre-engineered for quick setup and safe operation during in-house processes. It utilizes seven individual tanks, each measuring 16" × 24" × 24" and occupies a footprint of 3 × 12 ft. The tanks are rotomolded from heavyweight, high-density polyethylene or polypropylene, and they are equipped with heaters, plumbing connections, tank lids and chemical products.
The tank line is said to provide military-specification-compliant, black oxide capability with a 25-min. turnaround time. According to the company, it also provides scheduling and cost control. The process contains no EPA regulated chemicals, so there is no need for waste treatment. Rinse water can go into the sewer as non-hazardous discharge.
