Machine beds are made of Composital, a resine-granite mixture said to reduce vibration, or cast iron. Silicon carbide, corundum, cBN and diamond grinding wheels enable grinding on different materials and surface treatments including chromium and HVOF. The tailstock features constant hydraulic pressure controlled by the load cell, and the clamping system can be customized to workpiece features. AZ grinders can be configured with straight, angular or internal wheelheads, or a B-axis wheelhead driven by an integrated torque motor.
The grinders can be equipped with different measurement systems including absolute in-process measuring, in-process diameter measuring with fork, or external double-touch measuring. Optional accessories include a probe for measuring different positions, and external balancing flange-type heads and internal balancing spindle-type heads.
