Ebbco offers the Evolution series total-precision package filtration systems for the grinding industry. According to the company, these systems are the environmental solution for the grinding industry, and they offer a complete precision-machining filtration package designed for use with all metals, PCD and ceramics. The filtration systems condition coolants and oils to 1 µ while maintaining the temperature of the coolants and oils. These systems also offer an optional media-free electrostatic mist collection and a carbide-recycling program to create a clean and safe environment, the company says. Features of the systems include a clean/dirty tank; a vertical seamless filter pump; optional vertical flush pumps; self-cleaning tanks to eliminate sludge buildup; and various pre-filter options. The systems also have high-quality 623 filter vessels; a mist collector; a NEMA 12 electrical enclosure; BTU rated chillers; and a filter service beacon to indicate filter change-out. Dirty fluid is delivered to filtration through pre-filter and into the dirty side of the filtration tank, being forced into the suction of the filter pump by the sweeper package located in the tank. The filter pump feeds fluid through 623 filter vessels and directs clean fluid into the feed header to be dispersed into the clean side of the tank while still being temperature-controlled. Clean fluid is then delivered to the machine at specified OEM delivery rates.
