FANUC America’s LR Mate 200iD/14L is the latest model variation of its LR Mate series of tabletop industrial robots. These robots are known for their lightweight, tabletop size, which is often compared to the size of a person’s arm.
The company says these robots can process or handle parts weighing up to 14 kg. There are 10 models — each with various wrist speeds and reaches to accommodate even limited workspaces.
The robots offer a work envelope for both upright and inverted mount installations. These small tabletop robots can be equipped with a variety of intelligent features, including robot vision and force sensing functionality.
The LR Mate 200iD features a slim arm and compact footprint to minimize interference to peripheral devices in tight spaces. It’s available in three variations (standard, short and long arm), and offers a 4kg to 14kg wrist load capacity with up to 6-axis articulation. The work envelope is designed to simplify system layout, while its joint axes speed maximizes system throughput. An integrated 24 VDC power, signal and air enables easy end-of-arm-tool connection, the company says.
The robot offers an integrated through-arm cable option for iRVision, force sensing, Ethernet and auxiliary axes. Flexible mounting enables upright, inverted and angle mounts. A high rigidity and advanced servo technology are said to enable smooth motion at high speeds. The machines feature a standard IP67 rating which enables operation in factory environments with dust and oil mist.
