The TSX Tangential Milling Cutter, Sumitomo’s newest product in Milling, is a high-efficiency and high-precision shoulder milling cutter featuring cost-effective four-corner tangentially-mounted inserts. The new TSX is highlighted by an improved insert (LNEX) lineup, the new modular head inch series and newly developed program to offer convenient solutions using custom TSX tooling. The TSX Series achieves excellent edge sharpness and side wall accuracy with optimized chipbreaker and is available in two insert sizes offering a max depth of cut of 8 mm (0.315") and 12 mm (0.473"). The modular head series is suitable for milling with long overhangs when combined with carbide or steel arbors ranging from 120 mm (4.72") to 300 mm (11.81").
The DFC series, a double-sided 90-degree milling cutter, has been improved to now offer the new GS chipbreaker for improved chip control for shoulder milling. The GS chipbreaker has the capability of improving the control of chip evacuation. The DFC is a high efficiency, 90-degree milling cutter available in a wide range of diameters from 2" to 8" in standard, fine-pitch, and extra-fine pitch styles. DFC features high-performance 6-corner double-sided inserts that are one of the most cost-effective inserts per edge. The DFC Milling Cutter Series is ideal for applications including face milling, shoulder milling, slot milling, and side-face milling.
