Leaders-In background

Sodick’s high speed TT1-400A electrode machining center is designed for high-precision milling of graphite and copper electrodes. The machine uses the same precise-motion control and linear motor drive platform featured in the company’s HS series. The LN3X controller is said to maximize the speed and acceleration of the Sodick linear motor drives on the X, Y and Z axes.

X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measure 15.75" × 9.84" × 11.81" (400 × 250 × 300 mm), respectively. Maximum spindle speed is 40,000 rpm with a maximum acceleration of 1.2 G. Additional features include Heidenhain glass scales, Blum laser tool measurement, an integrated Torit graphite dust collector, air-purged dust protection, an oil mist system with mist collector and an integrated part probe.
