Methods Machine Tools offers the FANUC RoboCut C600iA wire EDM, featuring the FANUC 31iWB control with a 15.1" LCD touchscreen. The Ai Pulse Control II is designed for improved straightness and faster cutting speeds for roughing and finishing in interrupted cuts. The FANUC auto-threader improves reliability when threading software wile submerged and in the cutting gap, the company says.

The wire EDM’s new Eco mode reduces wire consumption, while the PCD power supply enables more efficient burning in difficult-to-cut materials such as CBN and some carbon fibers. Cutting technology is available for machining complex, detailed graphite electrodes as thick as 6" with a super-fine finish, the company says. The RoboCut Link i cut monitor software enables remote monitoring and operation on Apple iPads and other smart devices.

The X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measure 23.6" × 15.7" × 16.2", and UV travels are ±3.937". Seven-axis simultaneous machining is available as an option. The EDM is capable of machining a range of materials, including cobalt-chrome, high-nickel alloys and titanium used in aerospace, medical and military applications.
