The new Reversible Drum Vac is designed to convert an ordinary 30-gallon closed head drum into a liquid vacuum, said to be capable of filling the drum in one minute. With the turn of a knob, the pump empties the drum. It is a way to vacuum coolant, hydraulic oils, spills, sludge, tramp oil and waste water, then pump it back out for disposal, storage or reclamation. The product is compressed air-powered and has no moving parts such as a motor or impellers to clog, freez up or wear out. An automatic safety shut-off valve prevents overfilling the drum. A built-in pressure/vacuum relief is integral to the muffling body for safe, quiet operation. There is no shock hazard since electricity is not required. The vacuum is constructed of stainless steel that is designed to be used with most non-flammable liquids. The flow rate in and out of the drum can be controlled with the knob. Air consumption is only 19 SCFM at 80 PSIG. The vacuum comes complete with a 10-foot vacuum hose, a 90 degree vacuum hose quick-release elbow and an aluminum chip wand.
