View MoreDanobat Inc. demonstrates its grinding and hard turning machines. Danobat’s grinding and hard turning machines designed for the automotive, mold & die, bearings and hydraulics industries.
Upon request, Danobat demonstrates hard turning a tungsten carbide part with its Hembrug Mikroturn. The demonstration showcases the form and accuracy of the Hembrug machines. The company says that attendees can also learn about the Mikroturn’s versatility in the types of parts it can tackle and its efficiency with its high material removal rates and quick setups and changeovers. Additionally, Danobat is partnering with Taylor Hobson, an Ametek company that produces roundness and surface finish measuring instruments, to measure individual parts with its TR500 series measuring system. The individual parts, along with a report showing the achieved measurements, can be taken home by visitors to check tolerances independently if required.
Danobat is also bringing its LG and CG OD/ID grinding machines. With wheel speeds up to 23,600 sfpm, the LG can take on production challenges for small to medium-sized components (7.9" to 39.4" distance between centers) with CBN, diamond and conventional abrasives, singularly or in combination. The CG accommodates grinding wheels up to 24" in diameter and runs at speeds up to 15,750 sfpm. The CG is designed in a compact form to fit in any facility.
The Overbeck IRD grinding machine is on display as well. This machine can handle ID, OD, radius and non-round grinding applications. It has up to four grinding spindles and a measuring probe on its direct drive turret. The IRD is suited for various materials, such as carbide, steel or ceramic. The machine has applications in the US canning industry, healthcare, bearing, mold and die and beyond.
Danobat’s local team, including sales and application engineering, are on hand to demonstrate and discuss the expanse of Danobat's technology, which machines can help solve visitors’ production problems and advise on improving grinding and hard turning processes.
