Manchester Tool Company now offers MTC-SX cutoff inserts in 4-mm size for use with its MTC toolholder and insert systems. The inserts' "double-V design" offers stability and application-specific geometry that minimizes cutting pressure and improves surface finish. They are available in four grades: M40 (-36), M43 (-13), M45 (-33) and M93 (-34).
The MTC toolholder system is designed to provide improved chip control and management. Additional insert versions are available for applications such as plunge and contour operations; deep grooving; plunge and turn operations; and hard-to-machine materials requiring special insert geometries.
