Grieve’s No. 1021 is a 1,250°F belt conveyor oven suitable for drying steel mesh materials. This oven’s workspace measures 21" × 38" × 3". For heat, the oven uses 40-kW, Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements, while a 1,600-cfm, 1 ½-hp recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.
The oven features 10" thick insulated walls made from 8" of 1,900°F block and 2" of 10-lb/ft.3 rockwool insulation. The walls have an aluminized steel exterior and a Type 304, 2B-finish stainless steel interior. The 18" wide, 1" × 1" stainless steel flat wire conveyor belt uses a 1/3-hp motor drive for variable speeds of 0.05 to 1.20 fpm. The oven travel comprises a 30" long open-belt loading zone, a 38" long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow and a 30" long open unloading zone. A series of 10" × 10" stainless steel mesh screens above the return ductwork below the conveyor collect debris.
Controls onboard the No. 1021 include a digital temperature controller, an SCR power controller and a wall-mounted remote control panel.
