View MoreVirtual Grind Pro tool programming software for GrindSmart machines offers higher functionality and an interface with improved navigation, the company says. It is a modular, open system engineered to give users flexibility in tool design. Enhancements to the software include a 3D simulation of the machine, as well as tool support elements that, when combined with the 3DCalc tool simulator, allow collision tests and “near-zero” setup time. Import functions are available for DXF files for tool, wheel and blank shapes. The export function of a complete 3D tool simulation allows STEP files to be exported into CAD programs to create tool prints. JPEG files, as well as 3D viewer files can also be generated for customer review. Additional highlights include cycle time calculation; flute grinding; ISOEasy; wheel teach-in; the ability to export .stp and .jpg files; 3d Viewer; and Virtual Measurement.
