Tecnara Tooling Systems will display its MST angle heads for virtually every 90-, 45- and invariable-angle application. The system provides speeds ranging to 6,000 rpm with 0.0002" TIR at the cavity. A through-the-body coolant system cools the body and splashes the cutter simultaneously for extended tool life. Precision-machined cast-iron housings, hardened spiral-bevel gears and angular-contact ball bearings are designed to preserve performance. The modular series provides interchangeability among shanks and angle heads for short-run jobs, while MST solid heads for heavy-duty cutting can be switched among machines with the same taper and flange. Modular heads are available in 2", 4" and 6" extensions, or miniature angle heads for tight spaces. The solid and flange series heads are available in collet-chuck, BT30 and CAT40 master-holder-type configurations.
The company will also display its HALF series angle heads designed for light-duty operations.
