NC Program Optimization Software with Library of 120 Material Models

Third Wave Systems will exhibit Production Module 7.0, designed to maximize the potential of current manufacturing processes and improve finished part quality in the aerospace, automotive, medical, heavy equipment, cutting tool, and oil and gas industries. The software is said to shorten cycle times by as much as 30 to 80 percent, while simultaneously improving tool life. Users can work offline to access tool life information from a library of more than 120 experimentally validated material models to reduce machining time, improve product quality and get products to market faster. Other updates include advanced toolpath interpretation, XML to reduce simulation setup time by as much as 70 percent, and improvements to the physics kernel as well as to the 3D and 2D optimization algorithms. The software also features improvements to its Japanese translation and German-language user interface.
