View MoreSurfware has released a beta version of the next iteration of its Surfcam CAM software, V5.1. Now available for beta users and resellers worldwide, the new version contains various new tools, functionality and add-on options that add flexibility. Additionally, the release makes existing software functionality faster and more efficient, the company says.
New features and enhancements include a machine simulation option, advanced three-axis cutting strategies options, 64-bit toolpath verification and enhanced TrueMill multi-tool support with TrueMill Step Reduction Milling (TSRM) technology. Additionally, the software features post processor enhancements for APT code, operations manager improvements, updated translators and improved memory management for both 32- and 64-bit systems. The company says the majority of improvements were implemented based on customer feedback.
