View MoreMilltronics Manufacturing Company has added two longer travel sizes to its RH (Rigid Head) bed-type machining centers to address the demand for long travel machines.
The new RH33 features XYZ travels of 78" x 33" x 28", while the RH35 offers XYZ travels of 120" x 35" x 30". The machines are available with a range of accessories, including automatic tool changers (ATC); chip guards; #40 or #50 spindles; and more.
Base to saddles are supported by several box ways to maintain integrity over the large travels, the company says. These cast iron machines also offer potential advantages for milling large, heavy parts. According to the company, the open frame is particularly useful for machining large parts and molds in a variety of materials.
