Kaeser Compressors Inc.’s Kaeser Air System Enclosures (KASE) are complete compressed air systems delivered ready to operate in a secure, weatherproof enclosure. Each is said to be designed for exceptional reliability, simple maintenance and superior energy efficiency. They eliminate space, weather and accessibility constraints and reduce construction and installation time. KASE are said to be a financially viable alternative to new construction or building renovations, and provide a better operating environment than most compressor rooms.

KASE installation eliminates the need to expand or build a new compressor room, which is costly in both time and money. Users can reportedly scale up quickly to meet expanding production or avoid downtime if they are renovating, and a KASE typically requires little or no permitting. Additionally, they are able to be moved as needed.

From the base plate up, each KASE has been engineered with service needs in mind, ensuring service access for regular maintenance and repairs. For safety, interiors are well lit and each machine has a dedicated electrical disconnect.

Each KASE is designed to provide a clean, temperature controlled operating environment for the air system. This reduces service costs and increases equipment life and performance while removing a source of heat and noise from the shop.

The enclosure features a full walk-in design, rated for 110 mph wind loads, 50 lbs/sq. ft. snow load, fully insulated with sound dampening paneling, two entry doors (minimum) and removable access panels for major service.

It also has an external power disconnect, main power distribution panel, step-down transformer, low voltage panel board, EMT conduit, individual isolation devices per equipment requirement and wiring per NEC.

Ventilation consists of thermostatically controlled intake and re-circulation dampers, galvanized and insulated duct work, digital temperature controllers and exhaust gravity dampers, and there is also vibration isolation on piping discharge and compressor mounting points. Operating conditions range from -4°F to +100°F and relative humidity <80%.
