Workholding Manufacturer Names New President

Workholding manufacturer SMW Autoblok Corporation (Wheeling, Illinois) has appointed Gary Downs as president. Mr. Downs has worked for the company for 15 years, most recently as vice president of sales. “His intimate knowledge of our products and organization and more than 30 years of experience in the machine tool industry will help fuel SMW Autoblok’s continued growth in North America,” says Walter Bronzino, president of the SMW Autoblok Group.

SMW Autoblok Corporation is responsible for sales and service of the company’s hydraulic and pneumatic chucks, expanding mandrels, collet chucks, steady rests and other products in the North American market.
