The Wickman Group has acquired Stockport, U.K.-based H.W. Ward from F Bamford & Co, the original supplier of spare parts to Ward capstan and turret lathes worldwide. Based in Coventry, U.K., Wickman is a global supplier of multi-spindle machines, Wickman spare parts, automatic lathe attachments and machine tools.
F Bamford & Co, which acquired H W Ward in 1984, supplies original spare parts manufactured to original drawings and specifications. All of the fast-wearing spare parts are now available from stock held at Wickman, enabling urgent dispatch from the company’s offices and outlets around the globe to minimize downtime. Most other parts and tooling are available from stock or can be manufactured at short notice, the company says.
