Flow International has announced plans to establish a single facility for designing and building its waterjet systems, which include large systems for aerospace applications as well as robotic waterjet cutting cells. The Advanced Waterjet Systems Center will be an expansion of the company's existing facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. It will include engineering, production and an interactive customer demonstration center. As part of this plan, the company will close its manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario and move production of robotic waterjet cells and slitter systems to Jeffersonville. The company will, however, maintain its Ontario-based sales and technical services team to support customers in that area.
