CGTech (Irvine, California) will host 24 Vericut Users’ Exchange (VUE) events in 2013. VUE attendees will learn about new features, tips and tricks for the Vericut 7.3 release, and will have a chance to provide feedback on the software. All topics to be covered are customer requested based on a survey distributed at the end of 2012. The first VUE event is scheduled for March 25.
This year CGTech is also celebrating 25 years of numerical control (NC) program simulation and analysis software development. The company was founded in 1988 by Jon Prun to create a way of verifying NC toolpath programs without wasting time on a prove-out part. CGTech created the Vericut software to solve this problem by simulating material removal with a 3D solid model. In addition to Vericut, the company offers products for automated composite machinery and drilling and fastening machines.
